AWAKENING

In Awakening, Joshua follows the course of a relationship through its ups and downs to its ultimate collapse and the following moment of apotheosis. Premiered in 2015, this "substantial and compelling" work for cello and chamber orchestra with "gorgeous flowering of melody and harmony redolent of the silver screen" was highlighted in the Chicago Tribune and solidified Joshua’s trajectory as a composer.
