Mason Bates Cello Concerto with the Greater Bridgeport Symphony
Joining the Greater Bridgeport Symphony and Music Director and Principal Conductor Eric Jacobsen, on September 19 Joshua performs Mason Bates's Cello Concerto, returning to the work after a “world-class world premiere” (Seattle Times) in May with the Seattle Symphony. The lyrical 25-minute work by the young American composer is paired with Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique. A video about Joshua's collaboration with Mason Bates on his concerto before the Seattle premiere can be seen here. Find more information and tickets to the Bridgeport performance here.
