Joshua Roman Tours Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto No. 1 with Moscow State Symphony Orchestra
Along with the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra and their Music Director and Chief Conductor Pavel Kogan, Joshua Roman brings his account of Saint-Saens's Cello Concerto No. 1 in A minor, Op. 33 to the Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State in University Park, PA and Proctors in Schenectady, NY, on Tuesday November 11 and Thursday, November 13, respectively. Before the performance at Penn State, he presents a master class along with Penn State School of Music professor and former University Laureate Kim Cook. The Moscow State Symphony, which is one of the five oldest concert orchestras in Russia, also performs Gounod's Ballet Music from Faust and Brahms's Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98 on both programs.
